Wheel of Time
Dir: Werner Herzog
2003
****
As you'd expect from a Werner Herzog film, Wheel of Time is insightful, fascinating and intriguing. A view of a fairly hidden world and an interview with one of the most interesting characters of our time (The Dalai Lama), featuring Herzog's typically beautiful photography. To be honest, just watching the Tibetan monks working on the amazing and intricate painting and hearing Herzog's soothing voice was enough to hypnotize me into a state of euphoria. Another great Herzog documentary, nothing short of spellbinding and utterly beautiful.
