Merry Madagascar
Dir: David Soren
2009
*
I have disliked all the Madagascar films made so far, so it is safe to say that this cheap, rushed twenty minute, straight-to-DVD, just-in-time-for-Christmas cash in, was not my favorite present during xmas '09. The plot is your classic protagonists somehow render Santa incapacitated and have to take on his annual Christmas eve duties against time and with inadequate training type story. Hijinx and stereotypical xenophobia follows suit and a Merry Christmas is wished to one and all. With cheap rubbish like this, you have to wonder why Dreamworks still can't understand why Pixar is more successful.
