Kill Keith
Dir: Andy Thompson
2011
*
It is difficult to explain the appeal of this film to anyone that doesn't know who Keith Chegwin is, although appeal is probably the wrong word. The film is only called Kill Keith to match it's final poster that is a parody of the Kill Bill films. To the films credit it is quite inventive and I was generally impressed for the first five minutes. However, the acting is horrible and the script the worst I've ever heard. The cringworthy humour is terribly amateur and the horror scenes lack....horror. It's nearly a good idea but is spoiled by the film makers immaturity and inability to recognise a bad idea when they see one. The Radio personality Tony Blackburn is played by a child who doesn't resemble him at all, quite pointlessly too as Tony Blackburn himself stars in the film, albeit as a look alike. It's not very funny, certainly isn't clever and most of all stupid.
