The 70's produced some great British horror films but I don't consider Blood on Satan's Claw to be one of them. The really good performances from Anthony Ainley, Patrick Wymark and Wendy Padbury seem overshadowed, and purposely so, by the inclusion of 'uncomfortable to watch' underage (not legally) nudity from 'Tits and Ass of the year winner' 1971 - Miss Linda Hayden. Did people watch for the horror or for the underage nudity? I didn't like it. The Satan monster at the end looked like a lost carpet with legs. Amazing how Satan can be so evil when he is so bloody useless, it's not exactly the thing of great horror films when Beelzebub, the dark Lord himself, accidentally levitates into a bonfire. Nonsense.
