I expected Devils of Darkness to be another run of the mill cheesy but dated 60's horror but I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be above average. The story was unexpected, Psycho only came out 5 years before it but it matched a lot of what made that film great. I think a decade really only comes into its own halfway through, so being made in 1965 you really do see the 60's taking over from the 50's in style, speech and feel. A great little horror film.
