The Replacement Killers
Dir: Antoine Fuqua
1998
*
Antoine Fuqua's directional debut is dreadful. I'm glad he was given a second chance but one has to wonder how he was. The Replacement Killers is a tiresome action film that is basically 87 minutes of shooting. The background changes occasionally but essentially the film involves people firing guns at each other. I'm not making comments on Gun crime or anything but there really isn't anything else to this film. It's utterly boring and moronic. The acting, characters, script and direction are nothing worth talking about either. Also, why was Mira Sorvino's hair always wet? The late 90's produced some pretty awful films, The Replacement Killers is a good example of this.
