Island of Death
Dir: Nico Mastorakis
1976

Island of Death is shocking for shock sake. Nico Mastorakis is a nasty guy out to make a bit of money and a name for himself with what little talent he has. The action scenes are admirable on the small budget but overall it's one of those video nasties that gave the good video nasties a bad name. It all sounds worse on paper than it does actually in the film. Did
Robert Behling really stick the end of a propane tank down his throat or was that another nasty rumor spread by Nico Mastorakis? Has Beastiality ever been necessary to show in a film and has it ever had a purpose? I don't believe so, it's just shock fodder looking for notoriety that it doesn't deserve.
