The Big Easy, also known as, The Big Cheesy. The original synopsis says that The Big Easy is 'A film that captures the steamy, colourful essence of New Orleans'. I'm not sure I totally agree, I can think of loads of other, better films set in New Orleans that capture that sweaty passion through clouds of neon that everyone who has never been, like me, has been convinced New Orleans is like. If you want an 80's Cop drama with bad accents and an unconvincing romantic back story then this is the film for you. Again, because it's an 80's film it's almost forgiven but even for 1986 it looks really dated.
