One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing
Dir: Robert Stevenson
1975
**
One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing is a classic British Comedy that is much loved but has dated quite badly. It's jolly good fun but is tragically tainted with unintentional but fairly horrible racism. Like I say, I don't think it was intentional, it's just that by 1975 they should have known better. It's a shame really because the story, comedy performances, cast and overall premise are quite wonderful. How much you enjoy it depends on how forgiving you are, I think I liked the idea more than the final product though and the late great Bernard Bresslaw is criminally underused.
