Hanzo the RazorWho's Got the Gold?
Dir: Yoshio Inoue
1974
***
The third and last Hanzo film; Who's Got the Gold?, starts off brilliantly as a send up of the then popular Asian Ghost story films. How can you tell if someone is a Ghost or not? Easy, you give it a good seeing to Hanzo style (rape basically but they seem to get away with it because soon enough the women are begging him not to stop). To be honest, it all gets a little repetitive here as he does everything the same way he does it in the first and second films. I like it, I think they could have done more with the character but I guess Zatoichi was more important to Shintarô Katsu and I can't argue with that.
