Taxi 3
Dir: Gérard Krawczyk
2003
***
The third outing for Taxi seems to be quite unpopular with fans of the original but I still really liked it and thought it had legs. I think the real strength at the heart of the franchise is the way it captures the very essence of Marseilles and it's people. I've been there, know people from there and it's just like how it is on the film, or at least the sense of humour is there (as well as the obsession with football). Samy Naceri and Frédéric Diefenthal on top form again, the humour is actually a little more extreme in this one and all the better for it in my opinion. The Sylvester Stallone cameo is an unexpected treat.
