Matt Piedmont's Casa de mi Padre is a one joke film and unfortunately the joke isn't particularly funny. I quite liked some of the comedy 'dodgy sets', however many of them weren't as dodgy as they were supposed to be and when you also include stunning scenery the joke is lost. It's a very old trick that has been done better, not to mention countless times before. Casa de mi Padre breaks no new ground and is just another poor imitation. Matt Piedmont is a Saturday Night Live writer and Casa de mi Padre is a 5 minute sketch at best. What's so funny about speaking a second language? What's so funny about Will Ferrell?
