James Cameron's sequel to Ridley Scott's original Alien film is good but it lacks the intelligence of the first. The sociological issues are still there but when you strip it down it is a cheesy action film. However, it is one of the greatest cheesy action films ever made. The writing is pretty sub-standard, why on earth would Ripley want to come up against the Aliens again at her own free will? The poor writing however is made up for by the colourful characters, great special effects and action packed fun. The end fight scene is pretty special.
