Deck the Halls
Dir: John Whitesell
2006
**
Matthew Broderick has made a living out of being inoffensive. He is the most lethargic actor working today, very nice I'm sure but without emotion or assertion. I don't blame him for not caring though, this isn't a film to get passionate about. Danny DeVito's likability is the only thing going for this film that, on the whole, could have been good if only they hadn't gone completely over the top and stupid with it. It is at time far too terrible to sit through, I was wishing Christmas was over before it had even begun.
