Unstoppable
Dir: Tony Scott
2010
**
Unfortunately for Tony Scott his last film I'm afraid was one of his poorest. It totally lacks the suspense it really needed and no amount of wobbly camera, birds eye view, helicopter shots etc can make watching a train go by interesting to non-train watching enthusiasts. The mysteries revolving around Chris Pine's character aren't particularly mysterious and when revealed, are not in the least bit interesting. Neither of the characters bring anything of any interest to the story. Neither Pine of Washington do a bad job but essentially how could you sit talking on a train badly? The fact that they stop the 'unstoppable' train tells you all you need to know. Predictable and forgettable.
