If you were to ask me who my least favourite actors working today are, the chances are that Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds would be at the top of my list. So no-one was more shocked than me when I actually ended up liking Greg Mottola's Adventureland. It is a sweet 'summer of love' story that I have to admit was easy for me to relate to, it also captured the feeling of the late 80's perfectly, indeed, it could have almost been from then. It's certainly no masterpiece but it is pretty hard to fault and it taps into that certain je ne sais quoi very few films manage to do, can't explain it, probably something to do with false nostalgia but I quite liked it.
