Howling V: The Rebirth
Dir: Neal Sundstrom
1989
*
Although Howling V: The Rebirth has a good premise and a decent story, it has a really small budget and is poorly acted. An Agatha Christie style 'Who done it?' (much like Christie's And Then There Were None) and shockingly similar to 1974's Werewolf film The Beast Must Die, soon turns into a 'Who cares?' due to the fact it's very predictable and all the likable characters get killed off first. Still, not the worst Howling sequel but that isn't really saying much but still the franchise refuses to die. Apart from disliking pretty much everything about it, I was also disappointed by the glaring lack of Werewolves. There really should be some in a Werewolf film don't you think?
