Giulietta Masina was one of cinema's greatest actors, I adore every film she's been in, generally just for her performance. I preferred her character in La Strada but her performance in Nights of Cabiria is much stronger. She's an untouchable actor, no one like her before and there will be no one quite like her again, she was a real one off. The Nights of Cabiria is a classic and crucial point in Fellini's career as this marked the departure from neo-realism into the surreal and wonderful. It's nothing short f beautiful. If you are unaware of Federico Fellini's films, I recommend you watch all of them but make sure you do so chronologically.
