Two Years At Sea
Dir: Ben Rivers
2012
***
There is no denying that Two Years at Sea is a beautifully filmed movie, it really is and it's possibly one of the most beautifully filmed movies I've seen. Unfortunately, that's about all I can say for it. I'm a big fan of these types of films whereby very little seems to happen but in fact everything happens, but I felt that there was an interesting story here that just wasn't being told. Style over substance I'm afraid, Werner Herzog made a much better film called Happy People: A Year in the Taiga. It is stunning though, so credit due.
